Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SinisterSwiss Studios LLC ("SinisterSwiss Studios", "I", "me") collects when you visit sinisterswiss.studio, and what happens to it. The short version: this is a static website with no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers.

What is collected

Server logs

Like nearly every web server, the server that hosts this site keeps a log of the requests it receives. Each entry records:

• your IP address;
• the date and time of the request;
• the page or file requested, the response status and its size;
• the referring page, if your browser sends one;
• your browser's user-agent string;
• the website name you requested.

These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure: to troubleshoot errors and to detect and block abuse such as automated attacks. An IP address that repeatedly makes abusive requests may be blocked automatically, and some blocks are kept until they are lifted by hand. Logs are rotated weekly and deleted after about six months. They are not used to build profiles, to advertise, or to identify individual visitors.

Email

If you email me, I receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include. I use it to reply to you and keep it as long as needed for that conversation and my business records.

Your theme preference

If you use the light/dark theme button, your choice is saved in your browser so the site remembers it: a cookie named theme-pref (expires after one year) and a local-storage entry named sss-theme. Each holds one of the words system, light or dark and nothing else. They are set only when you press the button, are never sent anywhere except back to this site, and you can delete them at any time in your browser's settings. No other cookies are used.

What is not collected

This site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, embeds, analytics or advertising. It has no accounts, forms or payments. Every file comes from the site's own server.

Sharing

I do not sell or rent personal information, and I do not share it for advertising. Information may be disclosed only if required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of SinisterSwiss Studios, its visitors or others.

Where information is kept

The site is self-hosted on a server in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, the information described above is processed there.

Games and Steam

This policy covers this website only. When a game from SinisterSwiss Studios is released on Steam, purchases, accounts and multiplayer through Steam are handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy, and the game will describe any information it handles itself.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, contact me and I will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Email me with your request and I will respond within the time the law requires. Where the GDPR applies, server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure website, and email on the basis of your request to be answered.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and the server is kept up to date and access to it is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but reasonable measures are taken to protect the little information there is.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
